Fortezza da Basso, Florence
|
|
The Fortezza
da Basso, an imponent fortress, built thanks to the
Sangallo family around 1534, was one of the first italian
“citadels”.
Its turbolent and fascinating history has remained during
the centuries well represented by its powerful bastions, its
secret passages and parapet walks. |
