Welcome to Hotel Aprile - Palazzo dal Borgo in Florence. Lovingly converted from a 15th century building, the Palazzo Medici dal Borgo, now the 4 star Hotel Aprile, is located in the heart of Florence, within sight of the church of Santa Maria Novella. Historic frescoes, high vaulted ceilings and a secluded quiet courtyard garden combine to create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. In this small and exclusive hotel warm friendly service, combined with care and attention to detail, will enable you to experience the comforts of a delightful home from home. The building, whose origins appear to stem back to the turn of the 15th century, at least as far as the basic structure is concerned, was restored under the strict ordinance of the Fine Arts Commission and is preserved as a historic monument. The facade shows traces of graffiti representing the "Triumph of David”. The Hotel Aprile is proud to be among the sponsors of the Brancacci Chapel where the world famous frescoes by Masaccio and Masolino can be admired. A unique feature of the hotel is the complimentary lecture on the art and history of Florence presented on three evenings a week by a professor of the University of Florence.

The Hotel Aprile has 3 floors served by an elevator. The old world charm of the cosy lounge and breakfast room, elegantly decorated with antiques and original paintings, creates an intimate and stylish atmosphere to which fresh flowers and a selection of art books give an added touch. Amenities include a delightful courtyard garden in which to relax and unwind. We shall be happy to provide assistance in planning your stay in Florence: information about current events, reservations for restaurants, museums and exibitions (according to availability), city tours, excursions to chianti and to the most interesting tuscan towns. Bar and Internet Point at guests’ disposal. Parking place available (from 23 to 35 Euro per day). Pets are welcome.
